Set within, Cross Timbers State Park in Toronto, Kansas, the Born To Run primal challenge features a single track forest trail with open meadows, a few small stream crossings, if there has been rain, a couple of slopes, no big hills and a few rocky areas. This is a “very fast course,” so if you’re looking to break a trail PR this will be the trail to do it on. In addition, the third weekend in October is traditionally the time of year when all the trees at Cross Timbers State Park are at the peak of their fall colors, so the scenery promises to be memorable.

An all you can eat post race dinner (with vegetarian option) will be held at, Courtney’s Places (http://courtneysplaces.com/) in downtown Toronto. Registration includes one meal. Additional meal tickets are available at a cost of $10.00 apiece.

Born to Run is a fundraiser for Operation Freedom Memorial (http://ofm-ks.com/) with an auction and raffle following the runs. Our goal is to donate at least $1,000 this first year of the event, so please bring extra funds to help make this happen.
