The scenic trails, first class aid stations, impressive goody bags and prizes, and extraordinary volunteers make this an event you won’t want to miss. And, at NorCalUltras, we think everyone’s a winner! The Fall Classics feature awards and unique prizes for everyone - from race leaders to ultra-rookies and those who show tremendous spirit and support for their fellow trail runners.
After your run, kick back and enjoy the post race festivities with Joe's Cafe and our Smoldering Smores bar.
A special thanks to all of our sponsors for their continued support and generosity. Through their contributions, we’re able to provide some of the best goody bags runners might ever receive - official race track bags, top-of-the-line Patagonia apparel - including a high-tech jacket for 50-mile finishers and commemorative 29th edition wine glasses. Thanks to Karen Hanke of PinkLime Design for the great logo designs and continued support.
Course Description Out-and-back course; mostly along the legendary East Bay Skyline National Trail; fireroads and single track with gorgeous views of San Francisco and Mt. Diablo. Three miles of pavement. Be prepared for any condition. Can be hot, perfect, or cold and raining. In previous years race week has included the following: fire, earthquake, flood, and stock market crash. |

How to Avoid The Porta Potty During a Race
We've all seen it and most of us have done it ... 30 minutes (or less) into a race athletes are already looking for a port potty. The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way. The secret is a proper hydration plan before the gun goes off, and here's how you do it.
