In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Friends of the Missouri Breaks Monument (FMB) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have partnered together for the first-ever Missouri Breaks Triathlon. The race starts and finishes in Fort Benton on July 7, 2018.

The event will take place within the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument and along the Wild and Scenic Missouri River. The triathlon consists of a 20-mile canoe/kayak, a 3.4-mile run, and a 20-mile bike. Athletes can participate as either individuals or teams. Medals will be given to first place finishers in each race category. The race will conclude in Fort Benton with Boats, Brews, and Blues; this family-friendly event will offer music and brews from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
