The 10th Annual Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon is on two dates for 2016. The sprint and Olympic course is on September 10th and the Half/Long 70+ is on Sept. 17th. This race is a beautiful course over the bluest lake in Utah, Bear Lake. The Bike is a loop around the lake and the Run is an out and back course completely paved. Great flat course, fun with scenic views.

Camping and rooms to stay at Bear Lake are extremely limited so get your rooms early.

Event Start Location
Rendezvous Beach

Course Description
Full Distance - The Full Distance is a 2.4 Mile swim in beautiful blue Bear Lake. This will be a counter clockwise diamond pattern. The diamond shape is .6 Miles around so you will do it 4 times. This will provide extra support for racers. The Bike Course does a complete 102 Mile clockwise loop around Bear Lake with views of the lake always on your right shoulder. The Run Course is a 26.2 Mile out and back on farm roads that are 96% paved. Great views of this rural community.

Time Cut Off's apply to the Full Distance:

Competitors have 17 hours to finish the race, and cut-off times are applied to each segment. Start Time 7:00AM must finish by Midnight.

- SWIM: The swim course will close 2 hours, 20 minutes after the official start of the age-group field. Must Finish by 9:20AM.

- BIKE: The bike course will close 10 hours and 30 minutes after the official start of the age-group field. Must Finish by 5:30PM

- RUN: The run course will close 17 hours (midnight) after the official start of the age-group field. Must Finish by 12:00AM.

(Cut off times for the Full will be strongly enforced for the Full. This is for the racers safety. If you do not complete a distance in the time you can switch to the Half Distance.)

Half Distance - The Half Distance is a 1.2 Mile swim in beautiful blue Bear Lake. This will be a counter clockwise diamond pattern. The diamond shape is .6 miles around so you will do it 2 times. This will provide extra support for racers. The Bike Course does a complete 51 Mile clockwise loop around Bear Lake with views of the lake always on your right shoulder. The Run Course is a 13.1 Mile out and back on farm roads that are 96% paved. Great views of this rural community. No cut off times enforced beyond that of the Full times.
