Registration Fee:
Individual: $40.00
*Relay Team: $60.00

Entry fee includes a t-shirt, chip timing, and both food and beverages concluding the event.

*Relay teams must be composed of 2 team members. One person is the runner, the other is the biker. The runner will begin in a starting wave with the other relay teams and complete the entire run course. The runner then runs through the transition area and transfers the timing chip and ankle strap to the ankle of his biker teammate. The cyclist will be waiting in a designated tag zone.
The biker then completes the entire bike course, and transfers the timing chip and ankle strap back the runner who is waiting in the same tag zone.
The runner now dashes through transition and completes the second run course, crossing the same finish line as the solo racers.
The runner/cyclist tag-zone will be clearly marked on race day

Course Details:
The race will consist of a 1.2 mile run, 15 mile bike, and 3 mile run. Course directions include:

Run 1:
Runners will start on Chavenelle Road and travel to turn around point before making their way back to the transition area.
Transition onto bicycle
Participants will exit the parking lot by taking a left onto Chavenelle Rd.
Left onto Seippel Rd.
Right onto Humke Rd.
Left onto Sundown Rd.
Left onto Old Highway Rd.
Left onto Seippel Rd.
Left onto Humke Rd.
(This route will be followed twice. When complete, you will return to the transition area for the final run)
Transition for last run
Run 2:
Participants will take a left onto the side walk when exiting the parking lot and connect with the trail around Bergfeld Pond.
You will then connect with the trail located behind the businesses on Chavenelle Road from the Bergfeld Pond path by taking a right.
Once you reach Chavenelle Road from the trail, you will turn RIGHT until you reach the turn around.
Once you reach the turnaround marker, you will head straight to the finish line.
You will then connect back to Chavenelle Road by taking a left and finishing back at the event site.

USAT Sanction:
YOU MUST HAVE A USAT MEMBERSHIP TO COMPETE. If you are not currently a member, you can sign up for a one day or yearly membership which will allow you to compete in the Dubuque Duathlon. USAT 1 day membership forms will be available at check in on the day of the race. If you sign up then, the one day membership fee will be $12.00. Visit to sign up for a yearly membership.
