Run for the Hills 10K/5K Run and Walk & 1K Kids Fun Run
Sunday, October 2, 8-9 am Registration; 9:30 AM Race Start
Enjoy a beautiful rolling route along back roads in the Berkshire Hills.
All proceeds benefit Great Barrington Land Conservancy – Promoting land conservation, farm preservation, and community trails for more than 20 years.
Your participation helps to shape the future of the Great Barrington landscape.

Event Start Location
Kilpatrick Athletic Center, Bard College at Simon’s Rock, Alford Road, Great Barrington, MA. By 9:15 AM all participants should walk to start/finish area. From the Kilpatrick Athletic Center walk about 1/4 mile back to the main Simon's Rock entrance on Alford Rd. Turn right on Alford Rd. and walk about 1/10 mile to the start/finish area located in front of Seekonk Veterinary Clinic.

Course Description
Route traverses beautiful rolling country roads through Berkshire Hills; mostly on paved with a half mile on dirt road. Route is well marked and all intersections are staffed by volunteers. From start/finish area continue north a short distance to Seekonk Rd. Turn left onto Seekonk Rd and continue across bridge and up a short hill to the intersection with Round Hill Rd. Turn left onto Round Hill Rd. Continue on Round Hill Rd to intersection with Seekonk Cross Rd. Turn right onto Seekonk Cross Rd and continue to intersection with Seekonk Rd (this section is an unpaved dirt road). Turn right on Seekonk Rd and continue downhill to finish line just before bridge.

Prizes for 1st-3rd place male and female, age group division winners.

Packet Pickup / Expo
Race day check-in and registration take place inside the Kilpatrick Athletic Center (KAC) gymnasium between 8 – 9 AM on race day. Enter the main lobby and head to the gymnasium registration area to pick up bibs, pins, and t-shirts. Race t-shirts guaranteed for early registrants only. Bathrooms are located in the main lobby area to the right of the refreshment area. Additional bathrooms are located in the locker rooms located down the hall to the right off the main lobby.

Timing / Results
Timing utilizes the Winning Time RFID Chip System at the Starting Area and Finish Line. Results will be posted following the race in the gymnasium, on the New England Timing Website:,, and

Post Race Activities
Light refreshments and announcement of division winners at the Kilpatrick Athletic Center immediately following the race.

Event takes place under all weather conditions. Warm indoor space with bathrooms and refreshments is available before and after the race.

From Main Street/Route 7 in Great Barrington take Taconic Avenue which becomes Alford Road to the Bard College at Simon's Rock entrance. Follow signs to Kilpatrick Athletic Center.

Parking is located behind Kilpatrick Athletic Center (KAC). Turn left onto road leading to KAC. Proceed beyond KAC entrance to lower or upper parking lot.
