Event Start Location
Lincoln Park, near the intersection of Stockton Drive and LaSalle Drive.
Race begins near the Ben Franklin statue.
Course Description
This is a chip timed event, employing the latest in racing technology, specifically the Chronotrack B-Tag Timing System.
Timing devices will be distributed in your race packet.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers.
First place winners will receive an authentic German beer boot!
Packet Pickup / Expo
All registered runners and walkers will receive an attractive Oktoberfest-themed race packet
All participants receive a Tech T-Shirt, event-themed beer mug, 1 complimentary beverage at the race after-party, and assortment of coupons and goodies from local vendors.
Fleet Feet Sports will host this year's packet pick up at their Pipers Alley location, located at 1620 N. Wells Street.
Packet pick-up times are as follows:
Sunday, September 16th, 11am - 5pm
Wednesday, September 19th, 4 pm - 8pm
Race day packet pick-up will be available at the race site beginning at 5pm.
We would strongly encourage all participants to pick up their packets before race day to avoid long lines.
Timing / Results

Post Race Activities
All runners, walkers, friends and family are invited to join us at Rocco Ranalli's as the event's offical after-party host.
Ranalli's will offer attractive drink and food specials, and will honor your complimentary beverage ticket.
Ranalli's is located at 1925 N. Lincoln Avenue and has a sizable outdoor beer garden.
Weather
The Oktoberfest 5K Run / Walk will take place rain or shine.
In the event of severe weather conditions, a decision to cancel the race will be made by 5pm on race day.

Parking
We highly recommend public transportation. Visit the CTA's trip planner site here to best plan your route.
Parking is available in the Lincoln Park zoo for a fee.
A limited number of bike rakes will also be on site.
