A women's race starting at 8 am. This event is part of the MD Women's Distance Festival 5k Series
A Men's race starting at 9 am.
Awards to the top 3 male and female finishers and top finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24,25-29,30-34, 35-39,40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,60-65, 65-59,70-74 and 75 and over
The Women's Distance Festival has been sponsroed and supported by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) since 1979 to celebrate the history of women's rights to particpate in running events at any distance and at any age. The race culiminates the state of Maryland's RRCA Women's Distance Festival Series.

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
