The TriGirl Super Sprint Triathlon will consist of a 300 yard open water lake swim, 11 mile bike and a 3 mile run. The Sprint Duathlon will be a 1 mile run, 11 mile bike and 3 mile run. There is no relay for the duathlon.

Course Description Swim: The swim takes place in Lake Houston and will be triangular with buoys and a swim noodle line following the entire course for safety and to distinctly mark the course.
Bike: The bike course is an out and back where you will exit Deussen Park and go into Dwight D. Eisenhower Park
Run: The run is out and back on paved roads and jeep trails.
Wave Start: This event will start at 7:00am with the first wave of athletes. The number of waves and time between waves will be determined by the number of athletes entered.
DUATHLON WILL START WITH A ONE MILE RUN THEN FOLLOW THE SAME COURSE AS THE TRIATHLON.
Awards Awards will be given to overall finisher, overall master finisher and 5 deep in 5 year age groups in the sprint triathlon. The relay award distribution will be determined by the number of entrants in the relay division.
Packet Pickup / Expo There will be registration and packet pickup on Friday, August 10th, at ON THE RUN CLEAR LAKE, 2427 Bay Area Blvd. Houston, 281-480-5388 from 3pm-6pm, Saturday, August 11th, at TRI ON THE RUN, 5535 Ste B Memorial Drive, Houston 832-673-0600 from 10am - 4pm. NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP OR REGISTRATION. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PACKET PRIOR TO RACE DAY.
Timing / Results This race will be timed by Run Wild Sports Timing. You will be required to wear a timing chip on your ankle to cross the finish line.

All participants will be entered into a raffle for a new bike that will be provided for by our wonderful sponsor Jeff Haas Mazda.
There will be pizza, breakfast tacos, bananas, cookies, ice cream and drinks for all racers.
Directions Alexander Deussen Park is located at the Northeast corner of Beltway 8 off of South Lake Houston Parkway. (12303 Sonnier Street, Houston 77044) From 59 North, take North take Beltway 8 East. Turn left on North Lake Houston Parkway. Keep left at the fork. This will take you to the main entrance to the park.
Parking There is a large parking lot at the back of the park by the lake. Plenty of parking and it is very close to the race start. |
