Miles for a Mother's Smile is a 5K run/walk event to benefit local women's and family charities in honor of Mother's Day.
Here are the event details:
Where: Los Medanos College, Pittsburg, CA 94565
When: May 19th, 9am
Registration: $20 ($5 for students) - online at Active.com or by mail

All proceeds from our event will be divided between:
One Day at a Time (http://odatec.org/),
STAND! (http://www.standagainstdv.org/), and the
Los Medanos College Foundation to fund a new scholarship for single mothers (http://www.losmedanos.edu/foundation/).

Los Medanos College, Pittsburg, CA
Course Description
Flat course around the Los Medanos College campus - including a loop around the lake! Participants will start and end on the track.
Packet Pickup / Expo
Please register online at Active.com or by mail (see event web page). Packet pickup will be on race day beginning at 8 am.
Parking
Free parking will be available on campus. Please follow signs on race day.

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
