  Great course that includes swimming 1500 meters in the warm, fresh water of Lake Mission Viejo and is followed by a 24 mile bike into Santiago Canyon and returning to Lake Forest along the Aliso Creek Bike Trail where the 10K Run begins and ends back at Lake Mission Viejo. Challenging, beautiful with vista views of Santiago Peak.
On the same day as the OC Tri we also have the OC Duathlon, which is the 2013 ITU World Duathlon Championship Qualifier. The top 6 men and women in each age group will automatically qualy for the ITU World Duathlon Championship race in Ottawa Canada set for August 2013. These slots pass down to 10th place in each age group should someone in the top 6 decline their slot.
Additionally, we have the OC 1500 meter and 2.5 mile Open Water Swim races and the OC Aquathlon. We also have the Kid's Aquathlon 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 age groups that counts for pts in the So Cal Youth Triathlon Series, concluding with the Kid's Championship at the Pacific Coast Tri on Sept 9th.
Airports near as John Wayne/Orange County, Long Beach, LAX, Ontario serve So. Cal and are within 15 to 60 minutes from the race site.

Event Start Location
Lake Mission Viejo at 22555 Olympiad in Mission Viejo, CA.
The 1500 meter swim, Transition 1 and the Finish are at the Lake.

Awards
3 deep in all catagories. Beautiful solid wood plaques s well as glass trophies to 1st place

Packet Pickup / Expo
Packet pick-up will be Saturday May 18 from 11am to 6pm along with a sports expo with numerous exhibitors who offer great prices on their products, bike, equipment, wetsuits, etc.

Timing / Results

Post Race Activities
Entertainment, food provided by Trader Joe's to all participants, awards ceremony, smoothies by Juice It Up, Aquahydrate water, etc.

Weather
The weather is usually in the 70's & 80's with water temp around 73 degrees.


Directions
From 405 South: Take Alicia north to Margarite Pkwy turning left, then to Olympiad turning right. Lake Mission Viejo is on your right about 150 yards after the turn.

Parking
Park at Lake Mission Viejo or directly across the strret at the Soccer Park or on Melinda about 1/2 mile down Olympiad. Flo Jo Park is about 1 miler from the Lake and is available for free parking.
