 Knee Pain - Chondromalacia - Irritation Under The Kneecap
Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.

When I signed up I could not even run a block. I trained for 4 months. I actually made it through running non stop. Last mile was a killer due to a very long hill. They had two hydrants open to help cool down runners and had hydration stations near each mile marker. Great event. The downfalls? It seemed the fun run participators started at the same time, which cost me probably a minute. Several people had strollers which I thought was not allowed. Two people actually ran with them, one was very unsafe. Also when I finished sprinting the last tenth or two, runners were stopped before crossing the finish line. That cost me another 35 seconds. I was the 7th highest national league money raiser, $500, and ran very hard to make my donors proud, but because medals were being handed out at the finish line, and uncalled for congestion of spectators in the way, not to mention all the walkers in the way in the beginning, i lost a good minute and a half. Overall it was great. When mike sweeney talked after his story choked me up as he hugged his father in law, jim nettles. Getting a pic with george brett was a great highlight. Overall 4.5 stars out of 5. Maybe closer to 9.5 out of 10.
