Pumpkin Run 5K & Kids’ Fun Run
The Pumpkin Run 5K offers fun for the whole family with contests, face painting, Halloween crafts, Kids’ Fun Run and more. The 5K race runs through the rolling hills of Higganum, finishing on the town green. Benefits the Youth and Family Services of Higganum-Killingworth, a non-profit agency providing clinical counseling, programs for youth development, and community education in substance abuse and parenting skills.

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
