The Big Sky Duathlon is the second event in the popular Mile High Duathlon Series, and has earned a reputation as a great race for the first-time multisport participant. The race takes place in nearby Bennett, Colorado – just 20 minutes east of Denver on I-70 and features distances that are easily managed by the multisport rookie.

Course Description
Both running legs will follow the same route. The course is flat and fast over primarily paved neighborhood streets, with some dirt roadways. The bike course is a fun gently rolling out and back course over rural paved road.
Awards
Categories: Age Group, Elite, Clydesdale (split into 2 age categories), Athena, Fat Tire, Relay Teams (male, female and coed) and the new Tandem division.
Series and individual event prize money offered for top finishers ($3400). Post race catered food, raffles, announcer, music, goody bags and a tech shirt for all entrants.

I-70 to exit 304; turn left at the end of the ramp and drive 1/2 mile to intersection with Rt36. Turn left on 36 and look for the Bennett Community Center on the left - about 1/2 mile.

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
