Experience beautiful Madison, WI from a unique 13.1-miles perspective! The Half Marathon - a Memorial Day Weekend tradition - starts and finishes at Capitol Square and takes runners by many of the city's most famous parks, lakes, and landmarks. The event benefits more than 20 area charities and non-profits.
There is also a Twilight 10K Run and a fun run-around-the-Capitol Kids Run on May 25, 2013.
The Madison Half Marathon Expo will take place on May 24-25, 2013 at Monona Terrace. Free Health & Fitness Expo. If available, registration will be open. All race participants must pick up their race packets at the expo.
The Veteran's Day Weekend Full Marathon and another challenging Half Marathon take place on Nov. 10, 2013.

Course Description
A fun-but-challenging half marathon. Course starts and finishes on Capitol Square, up to Maple Bluff (where the Governor's Mansion is situated), through the historic William Street Area, and partially around the picturesque Lake Monona.
Awards
All finishers receive a medal.
1st thru 5th Male and Female – Madison Marathon Special Award
Masters Class (40+) – Top 5 Male & Female Finishers – Madison Marathon Masters Award

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
