The relatively flat loop course (elevation gain of 225 feet) is USATF certified and passes through rural Tumwater, Lacey and Olympia. It provides a scenic view of the Capitol area, Mt. Rainier, the Olympics, and Puget Sound. Here's a chance to see Thurston County at its finest!

The Capital City Marathon is known for it's great volunteers, quality running shirts, finisher medals, and awards. Each year our shirts, medals and awards are custom designed.

Aid Stations - Placed at 2-mile intervals and Mile 25, featuring drinking water and electrolyte replacement fluid. Sponge stations will be located at various points along the course. Volunteers for aid stations are recruited from businesses and organizations. Please let them know that you appreciate their support with a smile and a wave.
