The Shoppes at EastChase, BlackFinn Ameripub, the Montgomery Bicycle Club, and Ability Sport Network at Huntingdon College invite you to ride Cycling for Sight on June 24, 2017. Cycling for Sight is a 20-mile, 45-mile, 65-mile, and 100-mile fun ride to benefit the Montgomery Lions Club Community Foundation charities (501(c)(3). We are the 7th ride in the Alabama Backroads Century Series! The ride commemorates Helen Keller, a native Alabamian, who courageously challenged Lions Club members to become “knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness”.
Choose one of the four supported routes to enjoy fully stocked rest stops along the beautiful rural back roads of East Montgomery County. You will have mechanical and SAG support every mile of the way provided by the bike and IRONMAN outfitting professionals at Montgomery Multisport.
The ride will also benefit Ability Sport Network (ASN) at Huntingdon College. ASN serves youth and young adults with physical disabilities, ages 6–21, in the River Region who have a desire to participate in sport and adapted activity. ASN will have athletes with physical disabilities that will participate in Cycling for Sight.
This year’s ride will feature pro riders from Team Novo Nordisk. Sign up now for the ride and have an opportunity to spin with the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team! To learn more about how TNN inspires, educates and empowers people affected by diabetes, visit their website.
