We want to encourage participants to aspire to be the very best they can by, not only while with the team, but in all areas of their lives. Competitive swimmers typically are highly motivated, not only in swimming, but excel also in school and at home. The rigors of training help to develop an 'edge' that can carry the athlete throughout the rest of their lives.
